WaveTech is a pioneering startup addressing the global issue of coastal erosion. Our mission is to provide sustainable and cost-effective solutions to protect coastal communities and ecosystems from the accelerating impacts of climate change.

Prize winner of Wave Energy Scotland competition.
Efficiency measured in a wave tank at Imperial College.

2024:

Transition to a French entity for commercial development.

Executive Team

Olivier Bourdin

Founder & CTO

An engineer (CY Tech and Florida Institute of Technology) and former reserve officer in the Air Force, Olivier is passionate about engineering and computer science. He has developed several innovative products used by millions of users, secured funding from ANVAR, raised funds from multiple FCPIs, founded five startups, and sold three companies (including one to the ALTEN group and another to the Air Liquide group). He has hired and managed 200 engineers throughout his career. Olivier led Microsoft France's presentations on data mining and artificial intelligence for several years and trained over a hundred engineers on these topics.

Clément Puech

Chief Scientific Officer & Co-founder

A graduate from the École Normale Supérieure in fundamental physics, Clément brings 10 years of experience in the electrical grid sector (RTE). Passionate about transition-related challenges, he excels in building partnerships with teams and research laboratories across various fields, including HVDC, multiphase flows, particle transport in fluids, sediment transport in the surf zone, and sediment transport in the wave-breaking zone.

Javier Gonzalez

Co-founder & Business Development

An HEC graduate, Javier oversees business development, management, and finance at WaveTech. As a former director at BNP Paribas, he led major acquisitions between 2001 and 2010 before becoming Managing Director of M&A for the European banking sector. Since 2012, he has been a serial entrepreneur, co-founding and leading multiple fintech and artificial intelligence startups. Javier is also an author and speaker in the field of artificial intelligence.
