WaveX is part of the 2023 TechX cohort

Delighted to announce that WaveX has been selected for the latest TechX cohort!

We're excited to join the Net Zero Technology Centre's prestigious TechX Clean Energy Accelerator programme, alongside 11 other pioneering clean-energy startups selected from over 200 applicants across 43 countries.

As part of this award-winning accelerator, WaveX will receive up to £100,000 in funding, direct mentorship from industry experts, and unparalleled access to the Net Zero Technology Centre's extensive global energy network—including industry-leading partners such as bp, Equinor, and ADNOC.

TechX provides a unique platform for groundbreaking innovations aimed at accelerating the clean-energy transition and achieving global carbon neutrality by 2050. From revolutionary wave-powered coastal protection solutions like ours, to space-based offshore renewable intelligence and cryogenic superconducting hydrogen motors, this year's cohort exemplifies entrepreneurial ingenuity at its best.

Mark Anderson, TechX Director at Net Zero Technology Centre, highlighted the programme's impact: "Now in its fifth year, TechX continues to discover and support start-ups with revolutionary solutions essential to unlocking clean energy. The level of innovation from this year's cohort is nothing short of inspiring—their drive, commitment, and potential make start-ups central to achieving net zero."

To date, TechX has helped accelerate 45 start-ups, who collectively generated over £10 million in revenue and raised more than £50 million in equity funding.
